Kindergarten Kindergarten students spend time working individually and as a class to learn the basic skills to succeed in school. In language arts, students focus on phonics, sight words, reading and handwriting skills. In religion, kindergartners learn they are part of God's family and they can pray to Him at any time. Children enjoy math studies, especially working with patterns, counting, beginning addition and subtraction. Social studies and science are very interesting because of the various ways students can learn through interactive practices and hands-on experiments. Kindergarten is more than learning the basics; the children learn how to share, work and play together inside the classroom and on the playground. They paint, build, play and create arts and crafts. Kindergarten is a busy room where children have fun while learning. May April March February January December November October September August
